About

Inspired by “Nourished” by Dr Deborah MacNamara, BANANCOM is the way to put words to action, a legacy I want to pass on not only to my daughter, also to the generation coming.

Food takes us on a journey to different parts of the world to religious practices, to techniques that involves various senses to emotions from people of the past, present, a living foundation for future beings.

Food is the vehicle that drives the act of caretaking, the desire for connection at every meal, it is the by-product of human relationships that when shared, it fuels enhancement of taste, satisfaction and bonding.

Meals are meant to be shared!

‘BANANCOM’ is the combination of 3 words in Vietnamese language – table + eat + rice, signifying the furniture piece used daily by households to share family meals. It is the place of family ritual where the partaking members with an ‘invitation’ join the relational activities of giving and receiving generously.

BANANCOM carries a mission of making family meal preparation a simple and joyful experience, assisting the time and efforts required by the providers leading to the actual moment of caring and sharing.
